Who you are:
If you are a Veterinarian and you've been looking for an opportunity to learn more and want to explore going beyond traditional vet care, keep reading! If you are interested in becoming credentialed in canine rehabilitation and you are ready for a career alongside stellar peers and staff with cutting-edge modalities, we want to meet you! If you are a licensed Physical Therapist in human medicine and have experience working with small animals or you are interested in seeking canine rehabilitation certification, you are also welcome to apply.
We are a RAPIDLY GROWING, high-volume, integrative veterinary wellness clinic & animal physical rehabilitation center, offering treatment modalities such as Photobiomodulation (LASER), PiezoWave-shockwave, underwater treadmill, warm water swimming/hydrotherapy, and neuromuscular electro-stimulation.
Additionally, we provide both Western and Eastern Medical Care including Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Myofascial Release & other Manual Therapies, Whole Food Nutrition Consultation, Behavior Consultation, as well as targeted therapeutic exercise and canine fitness and conditioning! We see approximately 50% senior patients and 50% orthopedic, sports, or neurologic patients.
In the past, we have taught group fitness classes, at the SF/SPCA & at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue- for Senior Pup-Pilates! Sound fun? That's because IT IS FUN! Collaborative patient care and client education is our top priority, so our ideal candidate loves both helping animals heal and is also dedicated to client education.
Previous experience with or current study of small animal physical rehabilitation therapy and/or acupuncture is ideal but not required.
This position entails working together with our veterinary physical rehabilitation therapists and assistants as well as providing relief coverage for our physical rehabilitation veterinarians when needed.
We provide on-site training and mentoring, enabling each staff member the opportunity to grow their skills and to provide direct patient care with independent client interaction once comfortable.
